Camera frames. SignSync processes real-time camera images locally on your device using MediaPipe. Camera frames are not uploaded to the cloud. The live demo on this website works the same way: your camera feed or photo stays in your browser.
Accounts and app data. Sign-in (email or Google) is handled through Firebase, and your translation history is stored in Firebase so it is available in your account.
AI assistant. Messages you type into the in-app chatbot are sent to a third-party AI service to generate replies. Do not enter sensitive personal information.
Authorized use. SignSync is for educational purposes and should not replace critical medical or legal communication.
